My name is Rúben Canhoto. I am a web designer from Lisbon, Portugal.

I have been creating websites since 2009. Currently I am the UI and UX Designer of the Realtime PowerMarketing web app.

I believe that understanding the scope and shapping the product from its conceptualization is the first step towards great results.

By sweating over the small details, I strive to create beautiful interfaces and delightful interactions.

I turn ideas into code, using HTML5, CSS3, LESS, SASS, jQuery...

This gives me greater control over the layout and allows me to experiment with interactions and get them just right.

Realtime Power Marketing

This is the project I currently work on fulltime.

Powermarketing is a real-time visitor engagement for online businesses.

As the lead designer on the project, I have been responsible for conceptualizing new features, designing the user experience, prototyping the user interface and user testing.

Maintaing coeherence and simplicity on a fast growing, feature rich web app is an everyday chalenge.

Orange 3 House

Simple one page website for a Bed & Breakfast in Lisbon.

The focus during design was to showcase the elegant rooms and facilitate the reservation process.

A great experience on mobile was of essential importance.

Hotel Cascais Miragem

Website redesign for the Hotel chain.

The main goal was to showcase the luxourious experiences available. This was achieved with the use of large photography.

A master layout was created and then color adjusted for each of the 4 hotels in the chain.

This produce delivery company came to us with the need to have an online catalog that reflected the seasonal availability of their products - something more exciting than a spreadsheet.
